Function setting buttons

Displays the most fr
equently used buttons. The setting status is displayed on the buttons. To change the
settings, press the desired button.
If you press <Original Type>, you can manually select the scanning mode according to the type of originals,
such as materials with only letters and magazines with pictures on them. To adjust the text/photo processing
priority level, press <Adjust Level>
select <Text Priority> or <Photo Priority>.
Pr
ess <Orig. Content Orientation> to change the scanning orientation to a portrait orientation or a landscape
orientation.
Select <2-Sided Original Settings> to scan both the front and back sides of the original.
- Select <Book Type> if the front and back sides of the original have the same top-bottom orientation.
- Select <Calendar Type> if the front and back sides of the original have the opposite top-bottom
orientation.
If you press <File Name>, you can assign a le name for a le when saving.
- You cannot use the following characters in a le name: \ / : , * ? " < > |. Also, you cannot use a . (period) or
space for the rst or last character of a le name.
- If you do not specify anything, the saved date and time is automatically assigned as a le name. For
example, if a le is saved as a JPEG at 1:05:12 p.m. on October 30, 2015, its name will be
"20151030130512.jpg."
If
a le name is too long, the string (path) indicating the le location may exceed the maximum of 256
characters, causing the le to not be specied.
If you enter a le name that already exists in the save location, (1) to (9) is added to the le name, for
example, "a(1).pdf" (except for the les in the Mail Box).
If <Divide into Pages> is selected when specifying the le format, a three-digit page number is added to
the end of a le name. For a le with the name "a.pdf," for example, the le is divided into "a_001.pdf,"
"a_002.pdf," and "a_003.pdf" when saved.

What is the best way to remove jammed paper from my printer?

It is best to gently pull the paper out of the printer. Turn the printer off, and make sure that the printhead is not hanging over the paper and that no paper remains in the printer.
