I have an imageclass mf 4770n that I bought in 2014 from Staples. I am using a refilled compatible toner. I cannot print at the moment. The error light is blinking and the display is showing "Please Check. Paper jam or no toner cartridge..." There is positively no jammed paper or pieces of paper in it that I can see.

To resolve the issue of the error light flashing and the display showing the message "Please Check. Paper jam or no toner cartridge..." on the Canon imageClass MF4770n printer, follow these steps: 1. Check the toner level by pressing the [Status Monitor/Cancel] button, selecting <Device Status>, and then <Remaining Toner>. The toner level will appear as <OK>, <Low>, or <Nearly Out>. 2. If the toner level is <Nearly Out>, you can continue printing by setting the printer to print even when the toner is nearly out. Press the [Menu] button, select <Fax RX Settings>, <RX Print Settings>, <Continue Print. When Toner Is Nearly Out>, <On>, and then press [OK]. 3. If the toner level is <Nearly Out> and the print result is not improved, replace the toner cartridge. Gently shake the toner cartridge 5-6 times to evenly distribute the toner. Prepare a replacement toner cartridge. 4. If the error message persists or the print result is still not improved after replacing the toner cartridge, refer to the manual for further troubleshooting steps.

My lap top do not have a cd-rom to down load driver and software. I went on line to down load those items. I was successful down loading but no connection occurred after plugging in the USB cord. What should I do next to connect lap top to MF4770n printer?

My MF4770n is almost 8 years old and has been trouble free. Now however when attempting to print, the paper begins to feed and then stops after advancing about 1.5". The message says "paper jam", there is nothing jammed up. Based on the age of the printer, should I assume it's just worn out and nothing cost effective can be done to get it to work?
