How can I get a 96 bit rate.
How do I increase the sample rate to increase quality.
Hello: I recently purchase a DAC 100 Magic converter. One of my friends was successful in hooking up the device to my Lenano Ideacentre 700 and the DAC played great out of it. I was able to play an external harddrive of music, one in the format of Foobar 2000 and Windows Media Player. I brought the unit upstairs and configured the laptop to do the same through my Yamaha RX-620 receiver, yet when bringing the DAC back to my study and plugging into the Levan Ideacentre, there was no evidence of speakers present in the lower icon of the monitor. I spoke with a tech advisor today, and told him about not having any sound. I downloaded the Crutchfield Audio program to enable the speakers and it took a number of steps to get sound out of the speakers. The tech suggested enabling the DAC 100 to be set at a setting (most advanced ) and applying it, hitting apply, ok and finishing the installation. I discovered that when playing my external hard drive in Foobar 2000, that the files when playing, had no sound, yet when playing through the computer or using a windows media player would play with sound. It is set up right now at a sample rate of 192 as indicated by the box. My laptop upstairs was configured with the same download, but is set on the box as 48. It does play music using the foobar program. How would I go about resetting the downstairs desktop so I can play the foobar program, thus changing the sampling rate from 192 to 48? Please let me know. Thanks, Dan MacDonald order number 42112692
