Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Bosch SHP65CM5N below.

What do I do about a smelly dishwasher?

In the case of a smelly dishwasher, you can take the following steps: - Clean the filters - Clean the spray arms - Clean the door rubbers - Run a hot wash program - Run an empty machine with a dishwasher cleaner

Do you have to pre-rinse the dishes?

It is not recommended to rinse dirty dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. For the life cycle of the machine, it is better to put everything dirty in the dishwasher. The grease on the dirty dishes is the lubrication for the pump in the machine.

How much dishwashing detergent should I use?

The average amount used is about 25 grams of dishwashing detergent. It is recommended to follow the advice on the packaging.

How do I add softening salt to my dishwasher?

Each dishwasher has a separate compartment for softening salt. It opens when you turn the knob on the compartment. The softening salt can then be poured into the compartment by means of a funnel.

How often should I clean the filter of the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher?

To clean the filter of the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher, follow these steps: 1. Make sure the dishwasher is turned off and the door is fully open. 2. Locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. It is usually a cylindrical or rectangular shape. 3. Twist the filter counterclockwise or lift it up, depending on the design, to remove it from the dishwasher. 4. Rinse the filter under running water to remove any debris or food particles. Use a soft brush or sponge to gently scrub the filter if necessary. 5. Inspect the filter for any damage or clogs. If the filter is damaged, replace it with a new one. 6. Once the filter is clean and in good condition, place it back into the dishwasher. Twist it clockwise or push it down to secure it in place. 7. Close the dishwasher door and ensure it is latched properly. 8. You should clean the filter 3-12 times a year, depending on your usage. Regularly cleaning the filter helps maintain the dishwasher's performance and prevents clogs. Remember to consult the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher manual for specific instructions and illustrations related to cleaning the filter.

Why are there still food particles on my dishes after running a cycle with the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher?

There could be several reasons why there are still food particles on your dishes after running a cycle with the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher. Here are some possible causes and troubleshooting steps: 1. Inadequate clearance between dishes: Make sure there is enough space between the dishes to allow water and detergent to reach all surfaces. Avoid overcrowding the dishwasher. 2. Blocked spray arms: Check that the spray arms are not blocked by food particles or other debris. Remove any obstructions and ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely. 3. Dirty filter: A dirty filter can prevent proper water circulation and lead to poor cleaning performance. Clean the filter by removing it from the dishwasher and rinsing it under running water. Use a soft brush or sponge to gently scrub away any stubborn debris. 4. Incorrect cycle selection: Ensure that you are selecting the appropriate cycle for the level of soil on your dishes. The Heavy cleaning cycle is recommended for heavily soiled dishes. 5. Water temperature: If the incoming water is not hot enough, the dishwasher may struggle to effectively remove food particles. Check that the water heater is set to a suitable temperature. By following these troubleshooting steps, you can improve the cleaning performance of your Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher and reduce the presence of food particles on your dishes.

How do I adjust the height of the upper rack using the Rackmatic® feature on the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher?

To adjust the height of the upper rack using the Rackmatic® feature on the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher, follow these steps: 1. Open the dishwasher door and locate the Rackmatic® levers on both sides of the upper rack. 2. Push in on the side levers simultaneously to release the rack from its current position. 3. While holding the levers, lift or lower the upper rack to the desired height. 4. Release the levers to lock the rack in place at the new height. 5. Ensure that the rack is securely locked and does not wobble or move when gently pulled. 6. Repeat the process if you need to adjust the height further or for the other side of the rack. By using the Rackmatic® feature, you can easily customize the height of the upper rack to accommodate larger items or to create more space for taller dishes on the lower rack. This flexibility allows for optimal loading and efficient use of the dishwasher's capacity.

Why is the cycle of the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher taking a long time to complete?

The cycle of the Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher may take a long time to complete due to the following reasons: 1. Heavy soil detection: The dishwasher's sensors automatically increase the cycle time when heavy soil is detected. This ensures a thorough wash and removes stubborn food particles. 2. Incoming water temperature: If the incoming water is not hot enough, the dishwasher may need to heat it, which can extend the cycle time. Check that the water heater is set to an appropriate temperature. 3. Cycle selection: Certain cycles, such as the Heavy cleaning cycle, are designed to provide a more intensive wash and may have longer run times compared to other cycles. Ensure that you have selected the appropriate cycle for your dishes' level of soil. To optimize the cycle time of your Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher, you can: - Pre-rinse dishes: Removing excess food particles before loading the dishwasher can help reduce the cycle time. - Use the appropriate cycle: Select the cycle that matches the level of soil on your dishes to avoid unnecessary prolongation. - Ensure proper water temperature: Check that the water heater is set to a suitable temperature to provide hot water for the dishwasher. By following these steps, you can help reduce the cycle time and ensure efficient cleaning with your Bosch SHP65CM5N dishwasher.
