To switch between exhaust air and circulating air mode on the Bosch DHE635BGB exhaust hood, follow these steps: 1. For exhaust air mode: - Cut out the protective grid in the air connector. - Ensure that the exhaust air is discharged upwards through a ventilation shaft or directly through the outside wall into the open. - Do not discharge the exhaust air via a smoke or exhaust gas flue that is already in use or a shaft used for ventilating rooms with fireplaces. - Follow official and statutory regulations for the discharge of exhaust air, such as national building regulations. - If the extractor hood is operated in exhaust air mode simultaneously with a flue-type heater, ensure there is adequate air supply for combustion. 2. For circulating air mode: - Install an activated carbon filter, which can be obtained as a special accessory from your authorized dealer. - The extractor hood fan will extract the kitchen vapors, which will be purified in the grease filter and activated carbon filter before being conveyed back into the kitchen. - The grease filter absorbs grease particles, while the activated carbon filter binds odorous substances. - Note that without an activated carbon filter, it is not possible to effectively remove odorous substances in the cooking vapors. By following these steps, you can switch between exhaust air and circulating air mode on the Bosch DHE635BGB exhaust hood according to your preference and needs.

Replace the activated carbon filter regularly, approximately once a year or as recommended by the manufacturer. Over time, the filter may lose its effectiveness in removing odors and should be replaced to maintain optimal performance. 5.
