The freezer Bosch B36FD50SNS frequently stops and shows an E2 error. If disconnecting and reconnecting the power allows it to produce ice for a certain period before stopping again, there are a few potential causes and steps you can try: 1. Showroom mode: Check if the freezer is in showroom mode, which disables cooling functions. To disable showroom mode, press and hold the designated button for 15 seconds until you hear three audible signals. The control panel and interior lighting will briefly turn off, then you can check if the freezer is cooling. 2. Temperature alarm: The E2 error may indicate a temperature alarm. Turn off the freezer and unplug it from the power supply for 5 minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. If the error message still appears, it is recommended to contact customer service for further assistance. 3. Exterior ventilation grilles: Make sure there are no obstructions in front of the exterior ventilation grilles, as blocked grilles can affect the freezer's temperature regulation. 4. Water connection and hose: If water is leaking or dripping from the ice and water dispenser, check if the water connections are securely fastened and if the water hose is undamaged. Replace the water hose if necessary.

My ice maker stops making ice on a regular basis … it will work for a couple days then stops. We have to turn the breaker off to reset it and sometimes that works . We changed the water filter and it made ice for two days after we changed it and now it has stopped again

I just purchased the B36FD50SNS/02 refrigerator. When I tested to see if the door alarm works by leaving the door open, it did NOT work after leaving the door open for 15 minutes or more. I obviously activated the door alarm button on the inside of the fridge.

Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Bosch B36FD50SNS below.

How often should I defrost my freezer?

It is recommended to completely defrost your freezer at least once every six months.

How should I transport a freezer?

A freezer must be transported upright at all times. It is very bad for a freezer to be transported on its side as oil from the compressor can end up in the evaporator.

What do I do about a smelly freezer?

A commonly used method is to temporarily place a cup of vinegar in the freezer.

How do I set the temperature on my Bosch B36FD50SNS freezer?

A convenient way to set the temperature on your freezer is by using the control panel located on the front of the appliance. Simply press the "Temperature" button and then adjust the desired temperature using the "+" or "-" buttons.

How can I maximize the freezer's energy efficiency?

To optimize energy efficiency, ensure that the freezer is properly sealed by regularly cleaning the door gaskets and ensuring they are free from obstructions. Additionally, avoid placing hot or warm items directly inside the freezer as this can cause it to work harder to cool down.

What should I do if I notice frost buildup inside my freezer?

If you observe frost buildup inside the freezer, there are a few steps you can take. Firstly, check if the freezer door is closed securely and not left ajar. Secondly, make sure the temperature is set appropriately. Lastly, check if the door gaskets are sealing properly and not damaged. If the issue persists, it may be worth scheduling a service visit.

How can I safely defrost my Bosch B36FD50SNS freezer?

To defrost your freezer, start by removing all items and placing them in a cool area or another freezer if available. Turn off the freezer and keep the freezer door open to allow the ice to melt naturally. You can expedite the process by placing a towel or shallow pan to collect the melting water. Once the ice has melted, wipe down the interior with a clean cloth and then switch the freezer back on.

My freezer is making unusual noises, how can I troubleshoot this?

If your freezer is producing unusual noises, it is recommended to check for a few potential issues. Firstly, ensure that the freezer is level and stable on the floor. Sometimes, vibrations can occur if it is not properly aligned. Secondly, check if any items inside the freezer are touching or knocking against the walls, shelves, or other objects. These can cause rattling or vibrating sounds. Finally, make sure that the condenser coils located at the back of the freezer are clean and free from dust or debris, as this can also lead to noise.
