Manche DSLRs nehmen kameraintern 8-Bit-Video auf, andere geben saubere Videobilder über HDMI aus.
Sie können die kamerainterne Kompression umgehen, indem Sie die DSLR-Kamera über den HDMI-
Ausgang an Ihren Video Assist anschließen und so in 10-Bit-ProRes- oder Avid-DNx-Codecs in hoher
Qualität aufnehmen. Manche DSLR-Kameras können Inhalte in 10Bit 4:2:2 ausgeben. Diese sind qualitativ
besser als kameraintern aufgezeichnete, auf 8Bit komprimierte Inhalte bei 4:2:0.
Viele DSLR-Kameras können zudem nur über kurze Spannen aufnehmen. Mit externen Aufzeichnungen
umgehen Sie diese Einschränkung, was ein weiterer Vorteil ist. Besonders praktisch ist dies bei der
Aufnahme von Live-Events oder Interviews für Dokumentationen.
Um dieses Funktionsmerkmal optimal auszunutzen und saubere Bildsignale auszugeben, schalten Sie die
Overlay-Funktion Ihrer Kamera aus. Normalerweise erfolgt dies über die Einstellungen der HDMI-Ausgabe
Ihrer DSLR-Kamera. Geben Sie dort vor, dass keine Statusinformationen im Videosignal anzuzeigen sind.
Das ist wichtig, da in der HDMI-Ausgabe enthaltene und somit im Bild sichtbare Overlays (Bildinformationen)
auch in Ihrem Video aufgenommen werden. Meistens wird das wohl unerwünscht sein.

So vergewissern Sie sich, dass keine Overlays von der DSLR-Kamera sichtbar sind:

1 Verbergen Sie die Bildschirm-Messanzeigen, indem Sie auf dem Touchscreen auf- oder abwärts
wischen. So kontrollieren Sie ausschließlich das DSLR-Kamerabild. Auf dem 7-Zoll-Modell des
Video Assist12GHDR funktioniert die obere Menüleiste am oberen Rand des LCDs unabhängig
und getrennt vom Bild. Dies gestattet Ihnen, das gesamte Bild sauber zu kontrollieren, gleichzeitig
jedoch die obere Menüleiste im Blick zu behalten.
2 Ohne die Bildschirm-Messanzeigen können Sie auf der Videoausgabe Ihrer DSLR-Kamera sorgfältig
prüfen, dass außer dem sauberen Videobild keinerlei weitere Informationen sichtbar sind. Sind auf
dem LCD Ihres Video Assist Kamera-Overlays zu sehen, schalten Sie die HDMI-Overlays auf Ihrer
Kamera in den Einstellungen für die HDMI-Ausgabe oder das Display aus.
Mit einer sauberen HDMI-Ausgabe von Ihrer Kamera können Sie jetzt Video in besserer Qualität
aufzeichnen.

Wiedergabe

Die Transportbuttons befinden sich in der unteren Menüleiste. Wenn Ihre untere Menüleiste verborgen ist,
wischen Sie einfach auf dem Bildschirm nach oben oder unten, um sie einzublenden.
Wiedergabe
Tippen Sie auf den Wiedergabe-Button, um Ihre Clips abzuspielen.
Stopp
Tippen Sie auf den Stopp- oder Pause-Button, um die Wiedergabe an
einem bestimmten Videoframe einzufrieren.
Überspringen
Tippen Sie mehrmals auf die Überspringen-Buttons, um wiederholt
vorwärts und rückwärts durch Ihre Clips zu springen. Tippen Sie einmal
auf den Überspringen-Button, um den aktuellen Clip erneut zu starten.
Shuttle
Halten Sie einen der Überspringen-Buttons gedrückt, um in den
Shuttle-Modus zu wechseln. Jetzt können Sie durch Antippen
des entsprechenden Shuttle-Buttons bei halber bis 50-facher
Geschwindigkeit vor oder zurück navigieren. Tippen Sie auf den Stopp-
oder Wiedergabe-Button, um die Buttons in den Überspringen-Modus
zurückzuversetzen.
