Inhalation with the mask of the Beurer IH 50 inhalator may take longer than expected due to technical reasons. The inhalation process involves breathing slowly and deeply, briefly pausing the breath for 5 to 10 seconds, and then exhaling quickly. This technique helps ensure that the particles from the medication reach the respiratory tract and lungs effectively. When using the mask, it is important to note that each breath through the mask holes delivers less medication compared to using the mouthpiece. This is because the aerosol mixes with the ambient air through the mask holes, resulting in a slower delivery of the medication. To optimize the inhalation process with the mask, it is recommended to follow these steps: 1. Place the mask securely over your mouth and nose. 2. Breathe in slowly and deeply, allowing the medication to reach your respiratory tract. 3. Pause your breath for 5 to 10 seconds to allow the medication to settle in your lungs. 4. Exhale quickly to complete the inhalation process. By following these steps, you can ensure that the medication is effectively delivered to your respiratory system, even though inhalation with the mask may take longer than expected due to the technical design of the device.
