Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Beurer BC 16 below.
Systolic pressure is the top number that the blood pressure monitor will indicate. Systolic pressure refers to the amount of pressure in your arteries during the contraction of your heart muscle.
Diastolic pressure is the lowest number that the blood pressure monitor will indicate. The bottom number refers to your blood pressure when your heart muscle is between beats.
A normal blood pressure is about 120/80.
To properly position the cuff, ensure that it is placed directly above the bend in your elbow, with the bottom edge about 2-3 centimeters above your elbow crease.
Please make sure the batteries are correctly inserted following the polarity signs. If the batteries are correctly inserted and the device still doesn't start, check if the batteries need to be replaced.
Wrap the cuff around your upper arm firmly, but not too tight. You should be able to comfortably slip two fingers between the cuff and your arm.
It is recommended to wait at least 1-2 minutes before taking another measurement to allow your blood vessels to return to their normal state.
The systolic pressure (higher value) signifies the maximum pressure exerted on your arteries when your heart contracts, while the diastolic pressure (lower value) represents the minimum pressure on your arteries when your heart is at rest. Keeping an eye on these values will help you monitor your blood pressure effectively.
