7. T o reduce size of the pictur e, press OK to s witch back to the zoom in/out
functionality , and pr ess AUTO to restor e the p icture to i ts original size. Y ou
can also pr ess re peatedly until it is resto red to t he original size.
The picture can only be na vigated after the picture is magnified. Y ou can
further magnify the picture while searching for details.
Selecting the aspect ratio The 'aspect ratio' is the ratio of the image width to the image height. Most analog TV
and computers ar e in 4:3 ratio ,and digital TV and D VDs ar e usually in 16:9 or 16:10
ratio .
With the adve nt of digital signal pr ocessing , digital displa y de vices lik e this pr ojector
can dynamically str etch and scale the image output to a diff erent aspect than that of
the image input sign al.
T o change the pr ojected image ratio (no matter what aspect the sour ce is):
• Using the r emote contr ol
1. Press ASPECT to show the curr ent
setting.
2. Press ASPECT repeate dly to select an
aspect ratio to suit the f ormat of the video
signal and your displa y requirements.

1. Press MENU and then press / until
the DISPLAY menu is highlighted.
2. Press
to highlight Aspect Ratio .
3. Press / to select an aspect ratio to suit
the format of the vi deo signal and y our displa y r equire ments.
About the aspect ratio 1. Auto : Scales an image pr oportionally to fi t the pr ojector's nativ e resolu tion in
its horizontal or v ertical width. This is suitable f or the incoming image whic h is
neither in 4:3 nor 16:9 and y ou want to mak e most use of the scr een without
altering the image's aspect ratio .
2. Real : The image is projected as its original r esolution, and r esized to fit within
the displa y ar ea. F or input signals with lo wer r esolutions, the pr ojected image
will displa y smal ler than if r esized to full scr een. Y ou could adjust the zoo m
setting or mov e the pr ojector to wards the s creen to increas e the image size if
necessary . Y ou ma y also need to r efocus t he pr ojector after making these
adjustments.
3. 4:3 : Scales an im age so that it is di spla y ed in the center o f the scr een with a 4:3
aspect ratio . This is m ost suitable f or 4:3 images lik e computer m onitors,
standard def inition TV and 4:3 aspe ct D VD mo vies, as it displa ys them without
aspect alteration.
4. 16:9 : Scales an image so that it is displa y ed in the center of the screen wi th a
16:9 aspect ratio . This i s most suitable for images which are alr eady in a 16:9
aspect, lik e high definition TV , as it displa ys them without aspect alteration.
